King’s Island Day Trip

Enjoy Pangaimotu Island known as “King’s Island”, Tonga’s most popular offshore resort. It is reachable by a 10-minute boat trip from Nukuʻalofa. The island proudly boasts its pristine beach, an excellent swimming and snorkelling – a perfect location to unwind in paradise.

ACTIVITY SUMMARY

Enhance your Tonga vacation with a 6-hour day trip to Pangaimotu Island, where you’ll have a plenty of time to relax on the sugar-white sands, swim in shallow turquoise waters or make a real splash while flying on a rope swing.

The tour departs by 10:00am at Faua Wharf to the island of Pangaimotu. On Sundays, the boat departs at 10am, 12pm and 1pm and returns at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm.

You can relax, swim, and join in activities such as snorkelling, volleyball or beach walking. Along the edge of the small reef, quite close to the beach were lots of colourful sponges, some coral and loads of tropical fish.

Anyone visiting Nuku’ alofa Tonga must visit the island of Pangaimotu and have lunch at Big Mama’s yacht club.
