    The open-plan living area features a King Canopy Bed and a Day Bed which converts to a Single Bed for sleeping, 2 lounging chairs and an occasional table. To one side, out of sight of the bed, is the tea/coffee facility and fridge. A sliding glass door opens up to a nice big wooden deck which is raised up around 5 or 6 steps from the ground. Deck furniture includes chairs and sun-loungers. Each Fale has a music system for connecting to an iPod or MP3 player and Wi-Fi Internet access.

Reef Resort

Reef Resort is located at Otea in the beautiful island of Vava’u. Finished to a high standard with tasteful furnishings and a modern feel. The resort was designed to blend in with the local environment and minimize the impact on this little-known pearl of the Pacific. The resort has only five stunning luxury fales (Tongan bungalows), and each are fitted with fans, private decks, walk-in showers, tea/coffee making facilities and a refrigerator. Two fales are located directly on the quiet beach and two on the hill amongst palm trees.  All fales offer fantastic lagoon views as well as privacy for you to enjoy your deck.

The crystal clear waters provide brilliant snorkeling spots in Vava’u. The Japanese Gardens are just off the beach. Kayaks and snorkeling gear are available for guests to use. From the resort, you can access kayaking to the Famous Swallows Cave. Whereas Port Maurelle, a tranquil bay and safe anchorage is only a short walk away. In addition, each fale has a music system for connection to an iPod or MP3 player and has Wi-Fi access.

From July to October is our whale season here in the island. Therefore, since our resort is on the beachfront, clients can see whales from the resort. Local operators then can arrange scuba diving, sport fishing, whale watching, surfing, sailing, and even ‘Kart Safaris’. Reef Resort is the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure or doing nothing at all. They also serve a freshly baked cake and coffee on the sundeck. Drinks and cocktails are served from the bar making the restaurant’s sun deck and lounge area a great place to unwind and meet like-minded guests and share your experiences.

To confirm your booking we require a two night deposit and a statement that you agree to our cancellation policy as outlined below.

  • From 60-30days – 2 Nights’ accommodation is charge
  • Between 30-15days prior to arrival- 50% of nights cancelled will be charged
  • Between 14days and arrival date: Full charge for all nights cancelled
  • No-shows or days nit used due to delayed arrival or premature departure: No refunds will be give all nights are charged.

    • Travel cancellation insurance is recommended in the event of delays, accident or illness.
